Hello Spring... Updates for the Cultural Sector in Greater Lincolnshire

Today is International Day of Happiness!

Hello Spring...

It's almost the end of March and Spring is here. What have you got planned for the next few months?

Thank you for joining my mailing list. I thought this might just be a good way to manage my contacts and share everything that's going on. I hope you may stick around - I'll only have time to do this once a month, so don't worry, I won't be filling your inbox.

The past month...

I've been working with Emma Lawn from Coritani Creative, Paula Denton at Our Big Picture, and musician Lisa Oliver to develop the Coritani Arts and Heritage Project.

The Grimsby Creates Trainee Producers programme continues with various workshops this month in time management with Debbie Dooodah, budget management with Amy Dalton-Hardy, we went to the Outdoor Arts UK Conference and placements are ongoing.

I've been launching the next Yorkshire Sound Women Network WIRED Music Tech Club for Girls in Rotherham.

As part of my own Developing Your Creative Practice, I've been completing a Coaching course with Relational Dynamics. If anyone is interested in Coaching, please see more information on my website.

And so much more including Arts Council Project Grant evaluations, planning future work and projects, supporting the LOV Bursary Connected Creatives, meetings, phone calls, endless emails...

The next month...

I'm excited to join the SO Festival team, to support as an additional Creative Producer, particularly focusing on the new Co-Creation Hubs with community groups and artists, plus some other work around accessibility, a welcome party and more.

As The Culture House join the Arts Council National Portfolio from April, I'm currently getting reporting systems in place to ensure we are ready for the impact this will have.

Preparations are underway for the People Power Partnership 'Big Production' coming this summer to Grimsby.

As part of my role with Grimsby Creates, I have been invited to join the Festival of the Sea Steering Group. The first task this week is to look at the submitted proposals for content.

The YSWN WIRED Wakefield group will take part in the Wakefield Music Hub Performance Hubalaboo! at Wakefield Theatre Royal next Tuesday 28th March.

Action Learning Set for Creative Freelancers

6 weeks from 4th May - 8th June

An Action Learning Set is a group of six people who support each other to work through real problems and get things done.

I'll be running this pilot for six weeks, via Zoom, on a Pay What You Can basis, with a suggested contribution of £35 per person.
